The Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL series bears the typical attributes of a RIEDEL product: grape varietal-specific, thin-blown, unadorned, and standing tall on slender stems.
However Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL is assembled in a completely different way to the brand's previous collections!
Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL combines the sophistication of the ancient Venetian glassmaking tradition, with 21st-century glassmaking technology, using fully automated machine-blown techniques. This innovative series has a handmade stem and base with a machine-made varietal bowl. The execution of this new process was made possible by significant improvements in the RIEDEL glass factory in Weiden, Bavaria.
With their team of very talented Tyrolean glassmakers, RIEDEL tried and tested until they had perfectly mastered the Venetian puzzle. They built the multi-colored stems and learned how to fuse the bowl to the colored stem in the hot stage.
With its handmade stem and base, Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL combines the crafts of the past with today's technologically advanced, machine-blown techniques. The finished product charms the eye with its handcrafted feel, colorful aesthetics, and varietal-specific bowls.
Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL is a colorful luxury glass series made in crystal glass and sold in a single piece or in a box of six with mixed colors. All Fatto A Mano by RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe.
The collection includes a range of stunning decanters to complement the series.

RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance is the combination of two successful series, marrying refined artistic craftsmanship with the precision of machine production.
With a handmade stem and base and a machine-made optic bowl, RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance is another evolution in modern glassware by this industry-leading brand. The series features different bowl shapes, each presented in one of several color variants.
The principle of combining fine art and craft has long been advocated by Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus movement, and function-led design has dominated RIEDEL designs for many years.
As yet another example of this: "RIEDEL Fatto A Mano Performance can be seen as a small tribute to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus," explains Maximilian J. Riedel, 11th generation and CEO of the family-owned business.
