Also known as Syrah, Shiraz is a red wine grape that is grown across the world. New world Shiraz, which is specifically produced outside of Europe and the Middle East, has increased significantly in popularity over the past few decades, and is now the most grown grape in Australia. New world Shiraz can have a reputation for aging well and brings flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice, and espresso.
